NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION

The national ITF Taekwon-Do team is selected to represent Ireland in the European Championships which take place annually as well as the World Championships which take place every second year. The board of directors appoint a national team director, team of coaches, and management who set out selection criteria, prepare the team and coach the athletes at the championships. Selection for the team is open to black belts from all ITA clubs, selection criteria is set out at the start of the campaign and takes into account performance in international tournaments and national tournaments as well as the coaching team’s choice. 

Over the past 10 years the Irish Taekwon-Do team has seen unprecedented success, claiming multiple European & World titles at individual and team level.
