On behalf of the IMAC Executive committee and its various advisory boards, We are delighted to announce the upcoming inaugural, IMAC Martial Arts Awards Night, which is being held on the 24th January, 2026 in the SPA Hotel Lucan, Co Dublin.
This is very special celebration of the achievements, dedication, and spirit of the entire Irish martial arts community in Ireland. This is the first time, IMAC will host this event and celebrate our collective and individual accomplishments. This event will bring together national federations, organisations, athletes, volunteers, officials, and supporters to collectively recognise the individuals and clubs, who inspire and drive our Sports and Martial Art's forward.
We sincerely hope you can all get behind this positive activity for our members and organisations. The following is the appropriate details.

All nominees must be a member of a fully compliant IMAC CLub/Orginisation
All nominees need to confirm their availability on the 24th of January to attend the awards night
All Nominees must include one photograph of themselves to be used on the 3 finalists’ announcement
Three finalists will be proposed by the IMAC Awards working group In December and the nominators informed.
Winner will be decided and informed by the Awards working group at the end of December.

Please note that all fees must be transferred to the ITA account by the deadline of May 25th using the candidates name as reference. It is not possible to pay on the day of the grading.

ITA is excited to bring you two World Champions in Power Test, Mr Wesley Filiki (2015, 2017, 2019) and Mr Brendan Doogan (2013). Whether you're an instructor or a student looking to prepare for your first competition or your black belt grading or perhaps hoping to follow in the footsteps of these champions, we have an incredible opportunity for you.
Instructors - Coaching Workshop
As part of our expanding offering of Coach education and support this Continuous Professional Development opportunity is a standalone unit that any coach or interested person can undertake. It is also a micro credential earning credits towards the new Level 2 Senior Club Coach award being developed through IMAC and Sport Ireland. This will be open to all adult black belts who are currently coaching, assisting or helping to teach in an ITA club.
Coaches will learn to enhance the performance of the 6 competition breaks through the use of developmental exercises, technical progression and regression and video analysis. They will be tasked with choosing the correct technical variation and progression for their athletes, basing their choices on; a deterministic model, the physical characteristics of their athletes and their stage of development. They will learn to identify and prioritise areas for improvement based on observation and analysis.

This is a wonderful chance to meet with fellow students and instructors with a passion for breaking boards. Learn from two dedicated aficionados of the art and get personalised tips and refinements to help improve your breaking skills. The Irish Taekwon-Do Association in conjunction with the Irish Martial Arts Commission are delighted to announce a Coaching Workshop with Urša Terdin MSc focusing on the psychological aspects of training for Martial Arts and in particular for competition preparation and performance.
A short series of two Webinars and one in person practical session are offered as a stand alone Coaching Continuous Professional Development opportunity. This workshop is a 6 credit micro credential which can be used in support of the IMAC Level 2 Coaching programme (in development).
