Team Ireland Manager – Applications Now Open

The Irish Taekwon-Do Association (ITA) invites applications for the position of Team Ireland Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in supporting Ireland’s elite Taekwon-Do athletes as they prepare for and compete at international events under the ITF banner.

Role Overview:

The Team Ireland Manager will work closely with the National Team Director, Coaches, the Board, and relevant committees to ensure the smooth and professional organisation of all aspects of national team operations — including communications, logistics, travel, accommodation, finances, and administration for European and World Championships.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate travel, accommodation, registration, and logistical arrangements for Team Ireland delegations.

Manage team finances in collaboration with the ITA Treasurer and Administration, ensuring transparent budgeting, accurate record-keeping, and timely reporting.

Act as the main point of contact between athletes, coaches, and ITA leadership.

Assist in the planning of national team training sessions and the booking of venues for national team training.

Maintain clear communication and accurate records relating to team logistics and participation.

Support the creation of a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.

Ideal Candidate – Skills & Attributes:

Strong organisational, communication, and financial management skills.

Proven experience in team, event, or sports management (experience in Taekwon-Do or martial arts administration is an advantage).

Experience in budgeting and financial oversight.

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.

Professional, approachable, and solutions-focused attitude.

Commitment to athlete welfare, fair play, and ITA values.

Proficiency with spreadsheets, email communication, and online systems.
