Huge Success of ITA Leinster Open 2019

The Irish Taekwon-Do Association Leinster Open International took place on the 23rd & 24th of March with 880 competitors taking part from clubs all over Ireland as well as athletes from Norway, Sweden & Scotland.
Day 1 of the Championships was for seniors and included many top class competitors including current world champions including: Jamie Williams (Ireland), Niklas Marmheden (Sweden), Ciara Fitzsimons (Ireland) as well as 2-time European Champion Gilles Brown (Scotland) who took gold in absolutely stacked heavyweight sparring division. Best overall senior competitor was won by Thomas Fogarty from Cork who won Double Gold in Patterns & sparring

The junior day saw almost 600 junior athletes, up to age 13 compete in sparring, patterns & special technique. The level of competition on display points to a very bright future for Irish Taekwon-Do

The ITA has continued to grow as Ireland and the world's leading Taekwon-Do Association establishing this year's Dublin Open as one of Europe's leading tournaments in ITF Taekwon-Do.
