Mr. Jamie Rigney VI Dan
Mr. Jamie Rigney, V Dan, commenced his Taekwon-Do training in London, England in 1989. He then moved to Ireland in 1992, where he joined Ennis TKD School, then under the instruction of Mr. Tim Forde. The Ennis club was later taken on by Mr. Kevin Kinsella, V Dan, under whom Mr. Rigney trained for many years and continues to train regularly with to this day.
2014 Promoted to 6th Dan black belt at IIC 92 under panel of GM Lan IX, and Masters O'Toole VIII and Douglas VIII.
2014 Attended 92nd IIC in Dublin Ireland, Lead by ITF Technical Committee of Grandmasters Marano, Bos and Lan.
2014 Competitor at AETF European Championships, Riccione, Italy, -85kg sparring, Indv Power, Team Power and Team Pattern, Ireland finished 3rd overall.
2014 Dublin Open International 1st Place Power, 2nd sparring -85kg, 3rd 4th - 6th Dan patterns.
2014 Attended Master Per Andersen VIII Dan Business and Technical Seminar and member of organising committee.
2014 ITA Cork Open International 1st place Indv Power, 2nd sparring -85kg, 3rd 4th - 6th Dan Pattern.
2014 Elected National Children's Officer by ITA Board of Directors.
2014 Continued positions of TAB treasurer and member of ITA Business committee.
2013 Participated in the 78th IIC in Tralee Ireland, Lead by ITF Technical Committee of Grandmasters Marano, Bos and Lan.
2013 Participated in training camp with Sabum Stephan Tapilatu.
2013 Elected National Children's Officer by ITA Board of Directors.
2013 Continued positions of TAB treasurer and member of ITA Business committee.
2012 Competitor and Coach at ITF World Cup, Brighton, England, Bronze in Team Pattern, 4th of 140 competitors Indv power, Team Sparring (quarter final), -80kg sparring
2012 Attended the IUC in University of Limerick, Ireland.
2012 Organising Committee for ITF Umpire Course (IUC) in University of Limerick, Ireland, attended by 180 ITF members from 18 countries, Largest ITF Umpire. Course in History of ITF. Also hosted ITF fo historical meetings regarding new ITF Tournament rules, GM Bos, and ITF Tournamnet and Umpire Commettee members.
2012 Took up position of Treasurer for Taekwondo-Do Advisory Board, (TAB).
2011 Elected member of ITA Business Committee.
2011 Represented Ireland at AETF European Championships in Bratislava, Slovakia, competed in Team Pattern, sparring and Indv Power.
2011 Selected to represent Ireland at ITF World Championships, New Zealand, (But due to Personal circumstances unable to accept).
2011 Opened Inagh TKD at Inagh. National School, Co. Clare.
2011 Completed Krav Maga Strike/Short weapon defence seminar at University of Limerick.
2011 Participated in the IIC in Tralee Ireland, Lead by ITF Technical Committee of Grandmasters Trajtenberg, Marano and Bos.
2010 Completed Red Cross First Aid Course.
